There was a man with a gun in his hand
With intent to kill
Legal or not, a bullet would be shot
For he would enact his will

A man was to die by a quarter to five
For he caused him pain
Well, the man shot a round into a crowd
But didn't check his aim

Don't let anger consume
For it will take its toll
Let the past be the past
And learn to let things go

There was a boy who wanted to destroy
All things in his path
With thoughts depraved, no one was saved
From his unyielding wrath

One day, his friend decided to say
"What's wrong with you?"
The next day Jack stabbed his friend in the back
And now they're through

Bridges will burn to cinders
If anger takes control
Move on with your life
And learn to let things go

Be the better person
Turn and walk away
Don't even think about it
Just enjoy the day

There once was a guy who changed his mind
And put down the knife
Every once in a while, he would smile
And look on the bright side of life

With all his rage locked up in a cage
Anger could not breed
At last, the past was the past
And his life was freed
